That’s why Michigan’s beverage companies launched Good to Know, a new initiative designed to empower Americans with easy-to-understand information about the ingredients in their drinks so they can make the decisions that are right for them. It is another step in our long history of working together to bring Americans more choices and clear information.
House Bills 4369 and 5069 won’t make Michigan healthier, but they will hurt Michigan workers. Similar legislation in West Virginia has already led to major legal challenges and costs to taxpayers, as well. The regulation of food ingredients is best accomplished at the federal level, not on a state-by-state basis.
